ZCash: A blockchain with privacy
Zcash is a cryptocurrency that offers privacy and selective transparency of transactions. Zcash payments are published on a public blockchain, but the sender, recipient, and amount of a transaction remain private. Evolved out of Bitcoin, Zcash aims to use a blockchain that can provide and maintain anonymity. Zcash achieves this goal by bringing fungibility to cryptocurrency by unlinking shielded coins from their history on the blockchain. Zcash is pioneering the use of zero-knowledge proofs, applying cutting-edge cryptography to blockchain technology. Zero-knowledge proofs allow fully encrypted transactions to be confirmed as valid.
