On August 24th and 25th crypto enthusiasts from all across Chicago and the world gathered at Navy Pier to experience the Voice of Blockchain. The Chicago Blockchain Project brought together Leaders, Voices, and Builders of all kinds for exhibits, speakers and more. The event featured three stages for speakers and panels on a range of topics centered around blockchain and cryptocurrency.
This panel, “Solving Scalability” took place at the Sweetbridge Stage. The panel moderator was Hannah Rosenberg the Managing Director of Velas Commerce/BCI and featured Jimmy Song – Bitcoin Developer, Educator and entrepreneur, Marco Peereboom – Developer on Decred, Colin LeMahieu – Founder of Nano, and Frédéric Fortier – Developer for Enigma. Each speaker addresses how the project they represent scales, what makes it secure, and the trade-off between centralization and scalability.
