Socialite Paris Hilton is the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, who founded the famous hotel chain bearing their last names. Though the initial interest surrounding the blonde heiress is something of an enigma, she has managed to become a major celebrity. Hilton has appeared in her own reality television show, known as The Simple Life and even released music single, “Stars Are Blind.”
Moreover, the starlet is also one of the latest celebs to hop aboard the cryptocurrency bandwagon. In early September, Hilton announced she would be participating in the upcoming ICO for “Lydian Coin.”
The coin is being created by a company called Gravity4 and will allow, “crypto currency-enabled purchasing of targeted, A.I.-driven digital marketing and advertising services already offered by the Gravity4 Corporate Family.” It remains to be seen what (if any) impact Lydian Coin will have in the cryptocurrency community. That being said, the fact that celebs like Hilton are attaching their names to ICO’s in the first place, helps to demonstrate cryptocurrency’s growing mainstream appeal.
Looking forward to participating in the new @LydianCoinLtd Token! #ThisIsNotAnAd #CryptoCurrency #Bitcoin #ETH #Blockchain.
Paris Hilton appeared in the famed Guinness Book World Records as the “world’s most overrated celebrity,” back in 2007. Perhaps not the most flattering award, but at least she can legitimately claim to be a world record holder.
