How and when did you first hear about blockchain technology?

I actually first heard about blockchain technology through one of my musician friends, Nick. He got some bitcoin in like 2012. He didn’t think it was gonna be anything special, so he went and bought a pizza with it… Yeah, spent all his bitcoin on a pizza. So that’s the first time I heard about blockchain technology.

Who are you and what is your role in Blockchain WTF?

I’m Sam! I’m the videographer and video editor at Blockchain WTF.

Once you had a grasp on the technology, what impact did you see it having?

Once I had a grasp on the technology I felt like blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies would be very disruptive  to the financial sector, and would also really help with logistics of companies. Such as medical records, trucking, shipping solutions; stuff like that. So that’s where I felt like blockchain technology could be implemented the most.

What influence do you think cryptocurrencies will have?

Cryptocurrencies will become a secondary payment method. I feel like soon you’ll be able to use your bitcoin or ether, whatever you’re cryptocurrency may be, at the store. It’s already started with places like Overstock, which accept bitcoin as a currency. So I just feel like it will continue to grow and be very disruptive in a positive way.

When were you intrigued, and when were you sold?

I was intrigued when my friend Nick bought the pizza with bitcoin. I was sold when our buddy Jordan started really kind of making lucrative moves the crypto market, and that’s kind of when it reeled me into becoming interested in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

What’s your prediction for the future of blockchain technology & cryptocurrencies?

I believe that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology will continue to grow and gain momentum, as we’ve already seen. It has the potential to be implemented in our everyday lives.
